O People of The Scriptures... Come Towards a Common Word
O People of The Scriptures... Come Towards a Common Word
By Shaikh Abdullah Adh-Dhafiree (Member of the Saudi Scholarship Committee for the Sunnah and its Sciences)
about the treatise — Since Allaah (the All Mighty and the All Majestic) sent His Prophet Muhammad (may Allaah’s Prayers and Peace be upon him) with the truth, and revealed to him the Noble Qur’an through Jibreel (peace be upon him) and since his calling all the people to the pure monotheism and man’s natural inclination regardless of their religion; falsehood has bared its teeth and made known its barefaced aggression to this noble merciful Messenger.
From the qualities of our religion and the message of our Prophet is that it contains having faith in all of the Prophets and Messengers — from Adam to Noah to Abraham to Moses to Jesus, and all the other Prophets and Messengers up until the sending of Muhammad (may Allaah’s Prayers and Peace be upon him). It preserved the true facts of their history, and it also protected them from being slandered and dispraised.
Read in this brief treatise a number of the examples from the life and speech of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allaah’s Prayers and Peace be upon him) where he extolled the virtues of the Prophets of God who preceded him, and defended their honour — as well as the letter he sent to Heraclius, the Emperor of the Byzantine Romans, and the response of the Emperor to that letter.
